Club Members regularly participate in volunteer projects for the community. Whether folding brochures for mailing, donating craft proceeds to a special beneficiary, adopting a family for the holidays, filling gift baskets or making special treats for Carousel Preschool Children, our family-oriented group allows room for individual creativity and community contribution in an encouraging supportive environment.

It Feels Like Family Here

intergenerational_eating_somethingWe are the only intergenerational program in Northern Nevada. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment that focuses on intergenerational experiences. ReGenerations club members choose how they prefer to be involved in our intergenerational program, whether telling stories, helping with baking and craft projects, or merely enjoying the energy that the Carousel Kids bring with their active minds and loving hearts.

Club members interact daily with children from The Continuum’s Carousel Preschool Learning Center. These much-anticipated visits allow for interaction that replicates the family or social environment, recognizing the power of relationships between people of all ages.

It would be impossible to place a value on that special time spent together sharing, learning and connecting from one end of the age spectrum to the other.

Movement Empowers

KarateReGenerationsAll club members of ReGenerations Adult Day Club are encouraged to attend a daily hour-long session of supervised group exercises that emphasize:

  • Flexibility
  • Strength
  • Balance
  • Coordination
  • Range of Motion

Our program is founded upon maintaining current independence skills while promoting wellness.

Music Programs Engage and Uplift

annual_senior_promMusic has often been linked to health and happiness. Music engages psychological and physiological senses, and conjures up cherished memories from another time and place. It can relieve stress, lower blood pressure and manage pain. Singing can enhance verbal expression by improving articulation, rhythm and breath control.

Rhythmic movement to music can improve range of motion, joint mobility and agility while facilitating smoother, more coordinated movements.

ReGenerations Weekly Music Programs:

  • Performances by special musical guests
  • Sing-Along Sessions with piano or guitar
  • CDs selected to suit individual preferences and seasonal themes
  • Annual senior prom

Here’s How To Join Us!

All initial inquiries for ReGenerations Adult Day Club are screened for appropriate placement via phone conference. Our Director reviews admission criteria and requirements for interested parties, and an on-site interview is scheduled with the primary caregiver and potential Club Member.

Placement in the program may occur following on-site intake, and includes obtaining any prescriptions from the primary physician along with updated notes or history and a physical conducted within the past six months. All state licensed adult day care programs require these documents prior to admission.

The admission process also includes asking caregivers to assist in filling out our intake form, which includes social history and current status in all ADLs and IADLs, along with contracts and agreements.

All new participants begin on a trial basis to ensure that placement is successful. Staff will assess how new Club Members are adapting to our program within the first few visits.

Caregivers will be referred to other respite care options if placement in ReGenerations is unsuccessful.
